I was at the most white bread wedding ever! Yesterday was a crazy busy day at work. Thank goodness for S who stepped in at my store to help out. He knew I had a lot on my plate, plus he was assisting his VHAG or Very Hot Asian Goddess as he likes to call her.
I got to the wedding late. Missed the actual ceremony. Made it to the reception. The bride was beautiful. The groom seemed happy. I wish Matt & Mandy the best. They're good people...salt of the earth. But the reception? Boring. LAME! And this is the second one I've been to like that. Now the odds for me were decent, LOL! I was seated at a table as the only female amongst 5 guys. That part was fun. But there was virtually no dancing at this wedding...which struck me as unnatural...because I'm used to weddings where people are all up on the dance floor...especially since there was an open bar...and we're not talking just a beer and wine one. But no, virtually no dancing. And the ones who were? OY! They had the whole...step-together-step-clap/snap thing down. With hardly any deviation.
I finally got on the dance floor with one of my friends...B. I should've known better than to get out on the dance floor to a hip-hop song with a redneck who showed no dancing skill. But, I was being nice. And I like to dance. So we got out there, we were moving a bit... The song ended...we went to walk off the dance floor, and then...with absolutely no warning, while my back was turned, he grabbed my hand and proceeded--off balance, mind you--to try to spin me. Boy almost knocked me out and broke my neck! He wound up helping save me after I grabbed his wrist for dear life.... I laughingly asked if he was trying to kill me. He said he thought I'd just spin and stuff...guess he didn't realize that you kinda have to teleport that move, or at least make sure your partner doesn't have their back turned and no knowledge of this plan...LOL!
Other than that, it was kinda cool. We got wedding cake looking sugar cookes all decorated pretty...with their initials on them...and our place settings for tables were little picture frames with our names and table numbers in them. That was original and cute.
And I've got another wedding to go to next month. Which is cool...as long as I'm not the bride...LOL!
